Banks are the ones I would like to see crushed, just a bunch of thieves.

JP: now we have something you and I can agree on. banks are thieves. Jamie Dimon, a fellow graduate, comes on to give advice to government on how to manage operations. Imagine that. Banks giving advice. What is next? the fat kid giving advice on the precise way to eat cake???

Everyone is coming up w/ dumb ideas on how to "crush" AMZN.
For example:
"If Walmart had been bolder and scooped up Whole Foods Market Inc. (WFM) before Amazon, then it would be a scarier competitor for Amazon, Ladd said. "
Then ..
"The main difference between Walmart and Amazon is that Walmart sells groceries, while Amazon changes consumer behavior," Ladd explained. "
Uh???? Totally illogical.
OR ...
"Walmart's best option is to acquire Costco Wholesale Corporation (COST) because right now Costco isn't connecting with the wealthier shoppers that populate Target Corp. (TGT) ,"
"Wealthy" people shop at Target? Really???? ROFLMAO!
And, if WMT acquires COSTCO they will attract their target market, "wealthier shoppers".
ROFLMAO!
OMG! This guy has no clue what he's talking about!

Well AMZN seems to be bouncing off the EMA(9) more or less. See what this week brings.

On pins and needles. I feel I will still make a profit if earnings don't meet expectations.
but if AMZN blows away earnings I will be happy.
I'm not much a earnings player but AMZN looks so good .

I think the number people are expecting is $1.40 and the whisper is $1.43, so hopefully for you that carries through.

Lot of momentum going on with AMZN right now. Oh I'm sure there will be consolidation profit taking at some point.

yes, of course. as always. AMZN is following the exact same pattern from August 2015 where it gapped up from 550 to 600. it wont be a straight line up but the channel runs to 1160. sounds like you are a buy and hold guy on this one anyways.

For me, it is worth paying a little for protection on Amazon, and FWIW that's what I've done. The 1020/990 cost me $2.50ish.

===============================
$AMZN is a buy and hold stock.
Based on my futile attempts, trying to trade it is fool-hardy, IMHO.
You're just gonna miss profits.
I posted that dip a few days ago to $1010, which IMHO was a yuge opportunity.
Since then, up $60 in 5 days.
IF you don't hold $AMZN, I'd buy the dip right before the EC.
Wouldn't that be cool if it dropped $50 like last time?
