I don't under stand why the haven't split also- It's crazy not to as it leaves out a lot of investor's who would get in on trends. Which leads to more uptrend pressure. Last time I was in AMZN I had only 9 shares , this time 10.

Does it matter what a stocks price really is? I used to think it did but now I do not. The only time when I find it an issue is if I want options strategies around a stock position. Then it becomes capital intensive but there are other strategies to mimic long or short stock equity positions.
Also remember, stock splits cost money and effective simply lower the price. One could argu that there is more liquidity and there would be more buyers and sellers. But companies do not care about that really.
Lastly, we've been in an unprecedented period of stock buy backs to raise the price. What do you think will happen when the 'free' money runs out?

Ironic, Ralph Nader out today blasting companies for stock buy backs. $3T dollars in buy backs. Why have companies not reinvested in their companies, shored up underfunded pensions, and etc?
