Less risky when you see these washout bars, stops were taken out by market maker allowing them to buy it cheaper. ----------------- washout bar = tall red candle ? And then wait for white candle before getting long? Could you pinpoint a date from the attached chart as a specific example? Are you thinking like this from the article... http://www.hardrightedge.com/tactics/dynamics/artoftheexit.htm Why? Because big bars create short-term overbought and oversold conditions. They're often followed by days or weeks of contrary movement that retraces the price levels crossed in the bar. I'd rather have that money in my pocket than wait for the next leg of a selloff that may never come.  |

10/16/2015 3:57:23 PM @4 Yesterday's bar was a washout, it occurs at support after a downtrend move. I mined THC, M, KSS, GPS etc from a weekly oversold timeframe then look for money flow into the stock. The next step is to look at smaller time frames 150-min or your favorite timeframe to get a feel who is controlling the stock, trading with the trend is crucial so keep an eye for the direction of the SPY....hth |

10/19/2015 9:57:56 AM SPY...trying to get to 202.84(median BB40)...should give us a median line of 202.48 EDIT: high at 202.9...median line is 202.51 202.51....this line will be tested by the 2nd bar(27-min chart)...if we stay above this line bulls are winning the intraday battle go long for scalping. |
