four...what are you using?
JP,
-- Using StockFetcher.
- -
As you know from previous posts, over the years, I trade with some lack of statistics and trouble getting out of the trades. Also, if you see the stocks I post, they are usually dividend payers and not penny stocks. My way of "getting paid to wait". Of course, I limit my upside by trying to increase my win/loss ratio.
-logic-
Each time a stock pays a dividend I can reduce the break-even point (use a 3% dividend).
Approx. numbers::Invest $1000 and drops to $500 in 12 years = $500[50%] loss. Receive $30[dividends] * 12 years = $360. Loss is $140.
$140 is a14% loss that I would have set as a stop-loss.
I know, some stocks go to 0... some stocks reduce or stop dividends. But some keep steady and others raise dividends.
And I am always willing to take a small profit. "Invest long time frames and trade short time frames."
And yes the older I get the fewer 12 year ranges are possible!
Also, a stock that pays 3% and then add a few dollars in trading gains [1%] and you get a stock with a 4% "dividend".

On another subject, I wish you offered a day trading course... Live phone support and tutoring.

klynn, Thank you
are you buying after the cross above
are you buying the first green candle
are you buying with a limit or a stop-limit of the candle high
In other words, what are the specifics of the entry?
how is the position closed out? stop-loss rules or gain rules?

four: at the cross below 30 from above, daytrade when green to red, at the cross of rsi(14) 30 from below, daytrade when red to green. it's the only way i can see, again when is a bottom a bottom , or top , top. 60 minute chart
if you look at JP's post for bottoms in the last few weeks, all stocks were below rsi(14) 30 , including VRTX . , from 6/16 to 6/19, 60 minute chart.
