Well, had the trial results turned out negative you'd be considering yourself lucky to have escaped.

BINGO!
And, that is exactly why I don't play drug stocks.
Been there, done that!

CLVS is no different that holding any or a stock and it reports bad earnings.

Both ways you LOSE

But if they report good earnings or a good product announcement then you win.

Been burned and come out smelling like a rose on both.

Didn't you know the market is a CRAP shoot anyway.

@ Mac,
Mankoh and I were referring to DRUG TRIALS, not earnings.
I guess you could say drug trials are a crap shoot ... especially when it comes to cancer drugs.
I knew someone who rode DNDN (Dendreon) all the way to $250 ... he had 1200 shares.
Now, look at it.
Two things I don't bet on: earnings and drug trials.

I just made a screwed up discovery .. re: CLVS.
I thought it was remarkable that CLVS had gone from $15 to to $30 to $50 to $70 to $90 in ONE year.
THAT's because I rarely look at charts that are more than 2 years.
Well, CLVS is not new.
What it's done this year is a REPEAT of what it did 5 years ago.
Fooled me!

BTW, I was listening to a financial talk show on the radio last nite.
The host talks about a woman who works for the Fed. gov't. Six yrs. ago, she started out with $200K.
She now has $750K and wants to retire.
She did NOT daytrade.
