MrBid, UBB"walkers" are stocks which breakout to the upside at the upper bollinger band and continue to "walk" along the UBB for days,as an example take a look at CYDS,it broke out with a white candle being pierced by the UBB 4/13 at a eod price of .58 with an RSI2 of 99.64 ( the closer RSI2 is to 100,the better with these ) and has run along the UBB for 9 days hitting new 52 week highs along the way to close at 3.47 yesterday, that's an incredible 500% in this time but with this method i've seen a bunch of at least doubles in a week or less, check NEOM 4/11 at 95.90 RSI2 at .28,closed yesterday at .562 and MJET 3/29 at 96.77 price .105,it has run as high as .99 in 12 days,an amazing over 800% in that time ..... regarding shorts as i said i have no need to short so never attempted to write a filter,i just know the signs of good shorting candidates using RSI2,regards,Muddy

Hi Guys,MVOG depicts both trading methods in a short period of time in first touching upper Bollinger and taking off 80-90% or so and then blowing off big. When the dust settled,RSI(2)<1 came up for another entry to take off all over again.Lately I have been running
Fetcher[price touched Upper Bollinger Band(12) and Draw Bollinger Band(20) and close is between 1 and 26 and volume is above 100000 and date offset 0]

to take advantage of an earlier touch of the upper, check out the relationship between BB(12) and BB(20).The shorter BB time frame squeezes within the longer and can give an early signal. Also what I like to run with RSI(2) is
Fetcher[Aroon Oscillator(8) touched -92 and close is between 1 and 26 and volume is above 100000 and date offset 0]

.This filter picked up FORD at a bottom where RSI(2) didn't so I sort through both along with some sort of most% drop filter.A Dumper filter brigade! It would be interesting to apply some of the same divergence/tweaks to this AO8-92 filter as you guys have done with RSI(2).

CYDS mentioned in my post this morning as an example of an UBB "walker" closed up another 35% today at 4.69,at hod it was up an unreal 68%,this after walking along UBB from .58,this is why i have no need to short,if you know how to use RSI2 along the UBB with the squeeze/volume increase/price breakout method you'll see runs you won't believe

in the plus, but not a lot.
But within this market, that is good.

The capital curve of the system is very, very smooth.

Wallman...
The day CYDS was discovered @ .58 for you, how many other stocks were returned on that filter that day? Just curious.

Judge and Knows,i do not use a filter other than "show stocks that gained 8% in the last 1 day" ,then i eyeball them, beats a filter by tons, i've posted this method a few times on these forums but i guess you missed them,if you go to the Yahoo SF/Muddy group it's all in the Squeeze/Vol/Breakout msg # 7962 along with everything else i've ever posted on these forums over the last 3 yrs

Wallman,
Thanks for the reply. So you're playing just 1% over 1st std. gain. Valid way to find tomorrows movers perhaps that will first probably test @ 1% down, and if they hold, they'll fill 6% up, but too big a list for me to want to have to sort through unless one cross-screens to get matches against something else they trust to condense the returns a bit. Everybody develops their own methods. Glad to hear it's been working for ya as you've been here a long time. I tend to differ on "beats a filter by tons" though...as I got CYDS @ .58 also that day, with just FDMLQ & NEOM. (3) matches total. Good Trading to You.
