I use this filter to trade options. A considerable amount of these buy signals turn into large gains. Some not so much, and still others no gain at all. This is where money management comes in. I keep a log of stock signals I receive from this filter. My first play in a stock I use a small number of contracts, for me (5) contracts or $1200 per play. If the stock responds, correctly I monitor my position, usually exiting before a selloff. Many times I have exited way to early, in fear of losing my profit. If your first play is not profitable using this system. I log it in my book, and the next time this symbol appears I increase my play to $1500.00 and let her ride. My money management increments are 300 each replay.
This money management system has been crucial to implementing the full dynamics of this filter. Usually before or by the 3rd trade in the stock I have hit pay dirt. The profit, the majority of time has erased any earlier losses, and then some. I usually hold my position for 1-2 weeks.

and draw cma(low,2)lose has been above ma(50) for the last 10 days
should be?:
and draw cma(low,2)
and close has been above ma(50) for the last 10 days
what is "cma(low,2) was lower 1 day ago"?

bushynose, thanks for the sharp eyes. I am not familiar with kossvet's filter and don't have the answers. Let's try this:

@kossvet,
I have a few questions regarding your options filter.
1. Cheese has changed your line "and draw cma(low,2)lose has been above ma(50) for the last 10 days"
to the following 2 lines: "and draw cma(low,2)"
"and close has been above ma(50) for the last 10 days"
depending on which version I run there are different number of results returned; so my question is which version have you actually been using (I assumed you just copied and pasted your filter in order to post it which would imply you never had used the word "close".
2. If the CMA(low,2) is lower 1 day ago isn't that the same as the cma(low,2) is increasing for the last 1 day?
3. What are you using the drawn moving averages, MA(10) and MA(20) for? Are they some kind of final decision points?
Thanks,
Ed S.

I am not a wizard at phrasing these filters on Stockfetcher. I trade off of Think or Swim platform.
I have had reasonable success trading this filter from Think or Swim.
I work a full time job, and needed a system I don't need to micro manage. I select what I believe to be the best candidates from the system. I use the ma(50) as my sell signal. If the stock closes below the ma(50) , I move out of my position. This has happened many times, but I know with reasonable certainty, next play in that particular stock, I should make up the difference and then some. I accept the fact no filter is going to be correct 100% of the time. Knowing this axiom is true, I use money management to compensate myself at a later date. I also would add, this system works well when the market is not so agreeable to bulls. The ma(20) is just a visual gauge. Some of my best trades have come, when I have seen the low bounce off the ma(20).
Here is the filter again as it appears to me. I generally play stocks with a price between 30- 100

2 new plays for today are MSFT, 3 Jun 125 $4.40 and SNPS 3 Jun 120 $ 4.52. I entered these trades today. Hopefully I'm successful. I'll post my trades as I go for anybody following wins and losers.
