Opened a position on DRV today and seeing if it can break some previous resistance line with rates most likely to keep going up and housing market in further decline. Time will tell I guess.

I'm just not crazy being long on stocks when market are falling since the start if the year.
DRV is a Bearish ETF for when Real estate is going to hell in a hand basket . Rising interest rates to curb inflation hurts the housing market.

Nice finish today. Early on it was in the red and I figured once the Fed raised interest rates that she would pop up.

Gas price have been going up is September thus adding to higher inflation. Higher interest rates coming to stop higher inflation. Housing market to suffer even more.

@ Mac,
Is Costco leading a rebound in retail (by raising their prices)?

On COST I would say no. The Consumer is hammered by high inflation and is looking for any deals they can find. COST is in a downtrend of using the 20 day moving average. COST bounced off the 20 day moving back on September 12 . I'm bearish on all stocks in being the whole market is bearish. Until they get inflation under control the markets are in a bearish mode.

Vicious cycle of High inflation. Then rates are raised thus turning the markets bearish and with inflation still being high means expect higher rates and housing to take a hit as rates rise.
