SPY...looking for the next wave of selling unless we blow through BB40 on 2-hr(resis), but first we have to sucker a few more retail buyers at the open.

johnpaulca - I'm looking at a 2hour chart of SPY with the 40 BB. What should I be looking for? Price crossed up above the lower band.

You can see how BB40 on 2-hr still being a pain for bulls. More resis above with BB125. As you can see getting back into a trend is not easy, take lots of conviction by buyers.

I see! So if price goes above the mid-band on the 2 hour 40BB is that a full buy or a first buy? If only the first buy what do you look at to buy more?

I still cannot figure out how you are using the 125BB. Are you overlaying that with the 40BB on the 2 hour chart. I did look for example at BA this way and the 40BB mid-line was above the 125BB mid-line. I do not know if this is what you were saying when you said the trend is intact. Thanks!

that depends on you risk tolerance and money management. If you buy when it crosses BB40 then you have to deal with a much stronger resis in BB125. Let it get above this resis with at least 2-close then buy the first pullback using RSI(2) or your favorite trigger. Buying into momo is less riskier than trying to find a bottom.
Averaging down is just plain crazy, ie. XIV
If a trade goes against you, get the hell out, don't throw good money at a bad trade. Bad trades are part of trading. You're a good trader if you get 60% of your trades right, anyone proclaiming they have more than 80% win is just full of sh$t....90% is a pipe dream....glty!!

-Trend intact....BB(40,0.4, simple) > BB(125,0.1, expo)
-close > BB125

SPY....2690 line to hold, lots of overhead resis, traders caught will be dumping. Oversold(weak) bounce will be in play at the open. Bullish on /RB
