@nobody,

What are you guidelines for a flat pattern, many that you have posted are rising patterns that were flat quite a while ago or for very short durations and have risen recently a significant percentage..

I guess I've always thought a flat pattern had to be longer than 2 months and preferably 3 to 6 months in duration..

Thanks,
Ed S.

You are correct and that is indeed what flat would be on two/three month duration etc..

However, as eyeballing many filters and I see price is / has flattened for even a month or few weeks and underlying indicators showing rising signs...I Just post the chart here -- for my own learning and of course guidance from you all. A few had FLAT price for months next comes a monster spike and back to flat or FLAG form but trending flat at new price range.

From Flat to Consolidation phase - I'm trying to find flat price movement or tight range and underlying indicators rising...could MFI could be RSI whatever.

Thank you

@Nobody, re:UNH
This current rise might be earnings driven. If not for this insane market I would be interested. The only negatives I see are low volume and no help on the Weekly chart. The only "green on the screen" is from my doomsday watchlist.
