For those who have used these two StockFetcher indicators...
a) T3 Moving Average, and
b) Ultimate Oscillator
Which one would you prefer to use ... if you could choose only one?
I have tried both for a “short-term” Indicator, and I’m getting “very similar”crossover points. Note: I’m using the default T3 parameter, — T3(5,0.7) — but I modified the Ultimate Oscillator to UO(4,8,16).
Thanks to anyone who can contribute to this thread! It is appreciated.

I'll try and kick off the conversation by admitting my near complete ignorance and lack of experience; that usually motivates someone with infinitely more knowledge and indicator experience to, if not stomp on me, at least offer corrective and informative comments....

All I know is ultimate oscillator has never worked for me so it may give an edge to T3.

There will be two requirements for a buy and sell signal to activate a market position using the oscillator. Our first demand is that we have a price divergence from the oscillator. In the case of a buy we must have had a lower low in price that was not matched by a lower low in the oscillator. In the case of a sell we must have had a higher high in price that was not matched by the oscillator. Secondly, await a trend break in the Ultimate Oscillator to produce the actual signal.

Smoothing Techniques For More Accurate Signals by Tim Tillson
ARTICLE SYNOPSIS ...Smoothing Techniques For More Accurate Signals by Tim Tillson More sophisticated smoothing techniques can be used to determine market trend. Better trend recognition can lead to more accurate trading signals. Here's how. After studying his first stock chart, the novice technician is most likely to learn next about moving averages. This is a reasonable progression. First, moving averages are easy to understand. The simple moving average is just the average of a given number, which we will refer to as n, of previous closing prices, recalculated each day at the close. And second, technicians u...
