"Should be simple to reverse engineer the picks."

YOU AREN'T KIDDING!
I figured out that pattern over a year ago.
Someone(?)even has posted the filter here in the Public Filter Forum.
Very few responses to it however.
Guess its too SIMPLE,not any sets{BLAH,BLAH,BLAH,YADA YADA YADA}in it.

HIGH FLAGS

Was reading a thread last night on Stockfetcher titled high tight flags, my version doesn't exactly match up with the filters in the thread,i like a very short " flag " length, here's the 20 i came up with for today :

HAYZ GNVC ISIS MAMA SKNN HTI MVIS WFII KONG ROHI NYNY ALIF MIVT ONNN TTP MOVI XNN ISPH BIOS TSTC

Posted by Muddy
Check them out, some real nice hits from some of them.
2 of the losers SKNN and MIVT never held green and if you know me,if they ain't holding green i ain't buying.
Note SCRA a 21% gainer i did not post as i saw conflicting charts as to the position of the candle.Prophet had it at the UBB where it must be,SF had the candle at the LBB,i later confirmed it was at the UBB on Stockcharts but was too late to post in the blog.

"Unless there is a Depression there really is no reason to short."

or a METEOR CRASHING INTO THE EARTH

But anyway to answer your question a good place to start is a red candle pierced by the UBB or better yet one completely out of the UBB like ISIS 11/13 and build your filter from there.

TheRumpledOne : I learned (copied) WAIT FOR GREEN from Muddy.

This is what i posted to my group on a real stock in realtime.

""A ZONE PULLBACK ON MY RADAR 12/8

NSLT
This former squeeze/volume/price breakout on 11/22 hit this zone 11/29 at a low of .26 then went to a high of 1.89 just 4 days later
Now it sits at .60 and back in the zone again.
I'm not suggesting it will go up tomorrow but it is worth a watch for a GREEN hold (that i use ) or whatever indicators you use to determine a reasonable entry point.
If you are newer to trading it might be best to avoid this stock,it could be a wild ride but one that could be very profitable.""

NSLT closed thurs 12/7 at .60, opened fri at .52 then about 35 minutes later went even and held there until 11:40 where it hit and held GREEN at .67 then took off to a hod .92 in less than an hour closing at .89 for a 48% gain over the previous close.
Off course nothing works 100% of the time including GREEN hold, but in situations like NSLT where i KNEW i had a much better than a 50/50 shot of catching a very nice profit,it's the only way i go.
I'll let other folks try to catch the dead bottom,i'll go the safer route and WAIT FOR GREEN.
Muddy

Just to set the record straight the Volatility Direction Filter Display that was added was added not to the Filter that started this thread but to one that was written by another that sent this thread off topic 11/15.
I stand by what i said before that this simple one line filter is one of the strongest i've seen so far.
It not only gives many double digit gains after only a few days offset, but the win/loss ratio is excellent plus it holds up amazing going even up to 100 day offsets

11/14/2006 9:53:44 PM

I've been tracking this filter for many months now

Fetcher[show stocks where fast stochastic fast %k(14) is below 10 and volume is above 400000 and close is between 1 and 10 date offset is 0
and sort column 5 descending
]

using the Performance column i date offsetted from 1 to 100 days.
I found ONLY 3 losing win/loss ratio days out of 100
What i want to know is if anyone has found a filter or single indicator close to this,if so please let me know
thanks,Muddy

The above is what i wrote on 11/14,almost 3 weeks later now it has surpassed the 97-3 win/loss ratio and now stands at 111 and 4
Any newer folks here looking to start a filter,it may be wise to at least include fastk 14 below 10 in it,even if you don't want to use it SIMPLY straight up as I do.

HOD = high of day
I've only traded with Scott the last few years so i'm not sure if other brokers offer "streaming" hod lists or not but i find it invaluable for myself.
