show stock where Upper Bollinger Band(20,2) is below
Upper Keltner Band(20,1.5)
and Lower Bollinger Band(20,2) is above
Lower Keltner Band(20,1.5)
draw Bollinger Band(20,2)
draw Keltner Band(20, 1.5)
show stocks closed between 1 and 100
average volume(90) is > 1000000

These stocks should be consolidating.

12/3/2009 7:56:10 PM I've been studying the methodology at this link. I think it's ingenious. One method, one pair the EUR/JPY, one direction long or short, choose one and never change until it's mastered, then you may add another method. FOCUS = follow one course until successful. I've traded futures day and swing. You only need as little as 6k, at TOS, to trade the YM, NQ, TF or the ES, you need 25k+ to day trade stocks everyday, but you can daytrade 3 days a week with less. Fade the gap and the buy zone being my faves. Because of time constraints I've chosen to go the forex route, it allows me to trade the Aussie and Tokyo opens and overlap. I think you can start trading micro lots with as little as $400. I day trade in the evening from about 5pm est. till... Thanks for the link Medowz. Hope this helps.

I use TRO's BZ indicator in TOS; some one posted the BZ indicator thinkscript for TOS in one of TRO's threads. I can't remember which one.

You might consider opening a free ThinkorSwim demo and get involved in several of their 5 chatrooms. One in particular, the Marketcast, Ben Lichtenstien calls the big S&P pit, let's you know what the big boys are doing; lot's of sharp folks in the room trading the Dow, NASDAQ, S&P, Russel futures and everything in between. You can trade 1 lot contracts all day long with 5 or 6k margin, 1099 at the end of the year verses tracking every stock you traded. 100:1 leverage; what's not to like? Be careful you can lose every dollar you have and then some. This link is a good starting one: Hope this helps.

Thanks for the book recommendation; caught your post at Kreslik a few days earlier. I'm curious if you put an average on your reading time, where would you estimate it to be, 24/7 minus sleep?

What is your method for finding the symetrical triangles? PAL broke down on 10/28, faking us out, then entered back into the triangle. Do you have a set of rules for this methodology? Thanks,

Yes I've been studying Bulkowski for a while. He added YRCW to his watchlist 9/14/09, his patternz software found the chart pattern: bull flag, high and tight, continuation pattern, performance rank 1 out of 23, 1 being the best, breakout is upward 100% of the time, average rise 69%, throwbacks occur 54% of the time, price meets the measure rule target 90% of the time. Following Bulkowski's lead I bought YRCW 9/18 and exited at target 9/23. One trade a year would beat the pros. I thought the odds were very high. His software is free, the download is at his site. He is one of the sharpest I've seen on trading patterns.
