Now available for the StockFetcher filters is the Parabolic SAR. Typically used to determine stop points for trades, the Parabolic SAR forms a band either above or below the current price of the stock.

Examples using the Parabolic SAR:

Fetcher[price between 10 and 50 and the Parabolic SAR has been increasing for 5 days]

Fetcher[Parabolic SAR has been decreasing for 7 days]

*** Note ***
The Parabolic SAR is a cumulative indicator, so exact filters such as crossovers may produce results which may not match their charts.

We recently added a feature to StockFetcher that will allow you to fix the type of price chart for your matches. By adding the "chart-type" keyord followed by OHLC, Line, Candlestick, you can fix the price charting type.

Examples:

Fetcher[price between 10 and 50 and chart-type is OHLC]

Fetcher[price between 10 and 50 and chart-type is candlestick]

Fetcher[price between 10 and 50 and chart-type is Line]

StockFetcher now has the ability to include indicators and measures on charts that are no a part of the actual filter.

For example, suppose you use the filter:

Fetcher[price between 10 and 50 and RSI(15) crossed below 30 within the last 4 days]

However, when looking at the matches, you also want to inspect (but not filter) using another measure, such as the bollinger bands. By using the "draw" keyword, you can now add any additional indicators to your chart. For example:

Fetcher[price between 10 and 50 and RSI(15) crossed below 30 within the last 4 days and draw Bollinger Band(20) and draw momentum]

Fetcher[Ultimate Oscillator(7,14,28) has been decreasing for 5 days]

Originally described in Perry Kaufman's book: "The New Commodity Trading System and Method" and designed by Chester W. Keltner, the Keltner Channels provide a Bollinger Band-like envelope around the price.

Below are some StockFetcher filters using the Keltner Bands:

Fetcher[Close is above the upper Keltner(10)]

Fetcher[Close is below the lower Keltner(10)]

Fetcher[Low crossed above the upper Keltner(10) within the last 1 day]
