Have you tried coding a filter, even a single line? It's so easy, you almost had it.
close price between 3 and 10

see how close you were?

Some may actually believe their system works for some of the people, but, rest assured that all will primarily be interested in parting you from your hard earned money."

I don't believe you're referring any of the posters to this thread.

OK, Anthony, I'm going to put my money where my mouth is. Contact me and you'll get a working/profitable filter for FREE.

PS. When you have found me, the filter will be there waiting for you. Again, no joke. If you are unable to find me, then it'd be fair to say you didn't desereve it.

The best things in life are free, same goes for filters. If you think I'm joking, just wait for others here to offer their concurring opinion.

"I think you should approach this activity as not how much can I win, but rather how can I participate and not lose. This will lead you to the correct approach to this uncertain activity. That approach is to consider that how you get out is much more important than how you get in. To paraphrase TRO It doesn't matter how you picked the stock. Now that you have it you must some day sell it.How you do that will determine whether you will be a successful speculator."

That is most excellent advice for all levels of gamblers in the slotmarket. Wish I had that drilled into my head from the beginning, I wouldn't have the nasty and costly habit of always breaking this cardinal rule of survival.

How does it perform in a down market? Backtest results showed last year in May you could've been wiped out, or at least abandoned ship(filter).

Thanks Guru for the good read. Had some good positive reinforcements such as moving stop up to breakeven after clearing by a proper margin. And K.I.S.S. sometimes works best.

Filter Exchange · LONG FILTER - 1-2 day hold

This filter doesn't produce enough trading opportunities. If you get a trade once a week, what are you going to do on all those days while you're waiting?
I might add it to my arsenal because the win% and ROI are very impressive.
Thanks for sharing the code.

The filter works, I've gotten results but very far and few in between days. I'll backtest it when I have more time later and will post some numbers for you.

I've run numerous backtests for shorting with positive win % and ROI but the Equity summary total is a negative number. The problems appears to be instead of the trade initiating with a sell it is a buy.
Please fix this.
