Filter Exchange · new IBD 100 list (12-31-04)

Is there someplace that we can get the current IBD 100 list in a form that we can just copy and paste it into a Stockfetcher Watchlist? It is time consuming to have to copy and re-format the list.

Does anyone know of a free intraday screener that can find stocks that are above previous day's high, or low, for swingtrading longs and shorts? Some will find stocks that are above or below the previous close, but I haven't found one that will screen for the high. SF will do it EOD, but then its a day too late to get in.

Thanks, Muddy. That sure brought up lots of stocks breaking out of the BB Squeeze. Most of them, as you said, had already broken out and might pull back in a day, or so, for an entry signal. I thought this was an end of day screen, but running it again this morning I see that it is an intra day, and can be watched for current break outs. "That's what I'm talkin about!"

A couple that broke out yesterday for gains of 13% to 17%, I expected to drop this morning from profit taking, but they are still going up. Curious.

Thanks again,

Dick

Muddy,

I have found the window with the abnormal volume increase, etc., on it. Can you explain, step by step, how and where you enter the other parameters? I'm not sure I exactly follow your recommendations.

Thanks,

Dick

Thanks for the suggestions for BB Squeezes.

What can you add to a filter to assure you do not get OTCBB stocks? I like to trade low priced stocks, but Freetrade will not allow me to put buy or sell stops, so they have to be watched continously to protect gains and prevent losses.

How do you write a filter to get a bollinger band squeeze like ZICA?

HG, or his partner. Whichever. At one time you offered this filter:
Fetcher{set{x,count(volume above volume 1 day ago,1)*2} and set{y,count(volume above average volume(90),3)} and set{z,x+y} and z is above 1 and close has been decreasing over the last 3 days and average volume(90) is above 100000 and close is between 1 and 10 and low is below lower bollinger band(20) and count(close above open,3) equal 0 and 60 day slope of close is above 0 and low is near bottom linear regression line(60) and add column RSI(2)} I may have added to it.

Today it brought up INGN at the bottom of the LRI, while Muddy's brought it up just slightly below the middle of the LRI channel. After looking carefully I see that you used the LRI (60) instead of the LRI (100).

Which do you use most, the (60) or (100)? And which do you think produces the most consistent profits?

I know this has been discussed many times before, but I am wondering if anyone has since come up with a way to filter for Beta? Many agree that it would be a valuable tool for short term trading.

Grumpus,

Congratulations on your successful run. Do you post your daily selections anywhere, so we could follow your example, or is it your secret? Do you have a filter that you select your trades from, and do you share your method of playing the filter?

Would sure enjoy a small % of your successful picks. Mine have not been doing so great.
