I aksed if anyone had a method of shorting stocks? Should I stop looking at other methods Riggs? So if I ask some trader how they make money.......does that mean my method doesn't? Be we all knew this a long time ago.

And don't come all "high and Mighty" wehn you was sacked in your Wall Street job after 1 week for being a complete fraud. Steve Cohen picked you out....what a CROCK. They saw the B*S* in you right away... You announced on this forum what a great trader you were and you wa sleaving the forum for good. 1 week later you are back with your tail wrapped between your legs. ROFL. Recall this? 57% is low?
--------------------------------------------------
The annualized return is very low though
---------------------------------------------------

Let's round it upto 60%

$25,000 at 60% p.a

1) $40,000
2) $64,000
3) $102,400
4) $163,840
5) $262,144
6) $419,430
7) $671,089
8) $1,1m
8) $1,72M
9) $2,75M
10)$4,4M

Hmmmmm.........and this isn't good enough? LOL

Yeah it's definitely the case you either made millions or lost the lot. In the long run you will lose it trading this way. Best if made some millions...take half off the table.

Hi,

I am sure you have all heard the story of Dan Zanger?

The former pool installer who turned an $11,000 into about $13 million. Apparently he was up to about $18 Million but then gave a "bit" back.

He swears by chart patterns.

My question is how did he get those kind of gains? He even admits him-self the bubble of 1998 -2000 helped ALOT.

He was also VERY agressive. Often going into one stock 100% on margin.

Kudos to him...but it's not a way i could trade. It's fantastic when it comes off....but if you hit 5 successive losing trades you would have been wiped out. Even a couple of losses would have resulted in 20%+ drawdowns.

I suppose we can "chip away" until the next bubble and then STEP on the accelarator and make a few million..:-) IF we have the guts to press them.

Any views on his style of trading/ newsletter?

Cheers
Mark

"You can't do well when you buy what everyone else is buying".

--------------------------------------------------------------
What do you mean by "everyone"? Where exactly and how is it possible to measure "everyone"? Do you run a world wide poll on EVERY single stock holder and see what they are doing?

"Everyone" is about as subjective as you could ever get.

And and by the way...not everyone is bullish on CROX. I think their Short interest is about 20%+.... :-) and plus NIKO is short :-) LOL

Markcrisp, I can readily imagine you saying the saying thing when CROX falls down to 60.
------------------------------------------------------------------
you mean goes upto $60 again?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hmm, it seems like ure fellow investors think otherwise.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unbelievable...the stock has gained over 100% in the past 3 1/2 months...gives back what 8% and it's all over....LOL. We'll see. you are like adog with a bone Nicko. Don't get your ego involved.
oh gee......where do i start?
I am not going to go into this here....but HANS was about $50 October 2005..after the split.
There's a bit to it. You do not find stocks like this every week/month/Qtr. but they are the wait.
