General Discussion · What is the best way to write this filter
msg #150931

I would like to write a filter showing MA divergence.
Where the space between MA(5) and ma(10) is increasing
and the space between ma(10) and ma(20) is increasing.
A perfect example of what I'm trying to describe can be found by observing the chart of SAVA.
Between the months of Nov 2019 and Dec 2019.
The moving averages are starting to separate exactly how I would like.
Nothing huge, or distorted.
Just smooth inclination of all moving averages.
I use MA(5), Ma(10), Ma(20), Ma(50), Ma(100), Ma(200)
I stumbled on to this stock in October, not following any filter.
Then it exploded upward. I've been trying ever since to duplicate this performance.
I also stumbled on to CLSD, and GNPX. Both of these stocks were played without the aid of a filter.
Both stocks completely exploded upward.
What I have gleaned from these stocks graphs, are long consolidation periods, within a tight range.
then the moving averages start to separate, this is the time to make a commitment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible to do a moving average of a moving average?

Today I was filled 1000 shares Apps at 8.71
1000 shares rubi at 7.90
1000 shares epzm at 15,50

I have been using this filter for 3 weeks now. 15 wins 1 loss. I'm buying 1000 shares of each. Of the 16 trades, I have been filled below the open price on Monday 14 times, before the stock has risen 2%.
The filter is an awesome statistical filter.
I have allocated 40k to these trades. I have not came near using the full amount over the 3 weeks.
I will admit this market has me apprehensive to dive in fully. I just believe something nasty this way comes very soon. How long can the Fed prop up everything, Bond, Stocks, Futures etc?

Thank you for putting in the time, and creating this filter.
I am just starting to plow through it. You have cut down my prep time enormously.
There are many new ideas I can glean from this filter.
Once again a big Thank You

If a fllter can be created where:
Fridays close is the buy price.
Mondays open is the sell.
The filter should be able to tell us, which stocks have the greatest number of gap ups over the last year.
Also, as I stated before, can we have all the bells and whistles of TRO'S filter.
Those stocks that gap 1% the most.
Those stocks that gap 2%, 3% and 5% the most.
I have been researching the stocks at the top of TRO'S filter, based on a 2% return for the week.
Getting in at the open, has been a difficult process for me. It might skewer the weekly returns slightly.
If we could have the filter run on Fridays close instead, We have a definite price point to begin.
Maybe it's not possible to rearrange this filter, I don't know.
I have tried, an been unsuccessful.
My coding skills are vastly inferior to many of the Champs that write these awesome filters.
This is why I have reached out for help.

This is an excellent statistical filter. The thought content involved in creating this filter is remarkable.
If we can rearrange the filter to pursue my ideas, Ill owe you a case of beer, or your favorite adult beverage.
This filter is excellent
