Double check that the first drop down box in the settings window is correct:
"How do you want to apply your chart and results preferences?"
Select: "Show both my settings and filter settings"

mahkoh, I’m glad that these filters can help you out! In the third filter I wanted to combine both concepts into one so that it would return stocks that met both conditions (801+17) 818. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know.

Filter Exchange · IPO and Bankruptcy ReListing Filter!

I’m trying to make a filter that will catch IPOs and stock relisting (after bankruptcy, etc). I’m able to get IPOs and re-listings within the last 52 weeks with the below filter:
I’m also able to get IPOs within the last 99 days with the below filter:
Any ideas on how to add these together? I was looking at the TRO logic system, but was having problems getting them both to work at the same time; below is the code that I was using (the second line is busted?!):
Can anyone help out?

Filter Exchange · Custom Breadth Indicators

jthelen msg #98368 |

Is there a way to reference the number of hits to a specific filter for use as an indicator?
Example:
volume is more than 300% above average volume(30) 1 day ago
and open is more than 5% above high 1 day ago
Is there a way to take the number of results from this scan and reference that number/plot it as a moving average indicator? I’d like to plot this and other criteria under the SPY for custom market breadth indicators, I’m just not sure how to do the reference… Can anyone help me?

Filter Exchange · Relative strength breakout help
|
jthelen msg #97746 |

I’m having problems creating a breakout filter for relative strength. I wasn’t sure how to get the slope (regression line) to only calculate based on certain values of a CMA. I was thinking maybe there was a way to isolate select values of the CMA and have the slope use those instead so that a filter could be used for breakouts.
show stocks where the 180 day slope of the cma(relative strength(spy,99), 4) is below 0
I’m not sure what I have to do to get these to draw appropriate trend lines.
show stocks where cma(relative strength(spy,99), 4) is near the top linear regression line (90, 2)
show stocks where the cma(relative strength(spy,99), 4) is near the Upper Donchian Band(90, 10)
Do you guys have any suggestions?

waldr,
If you need to wait for green, consider Think or Swim as a platform. I'm in the same boat, I work days and can't do anything while the market is open. I setup conditional OCO orders at night that are executed when RSI(2) crosses above 10 from below.
This video explains it about 51 minutes in:
