Has anyone ever scripted this and tried it out?
Seems like it would fire some really decent stocks
to review.

Thank you all for the information.
I will play with this in the s&p100 for a while and see what type
of results I get but I am sure they will be favorable since
as only being used as a filter to narrow down candidates
one could add a ranking filter similar to what Kevin_in_ga
uses for relative strength and this could be a monster :-)
Thanks again

Sigh...

Well I have been trying to plug in just the S&P500 but to no avail.
Safetrade - I love this filter but how do you pull the nasdaq and nyse out
and put in the S&P or any other symlist?
I want to try it with both the S&P500 and S&P100 and then potentially
a select list at a future time once I et this working.
Sorry to bug you for help on this but - help?
Thank you

Kevin - that is where I thought your relative strength measure would come in handy.
Using something similar to your 12 week ROC and Alpha indication from the ETF filter
from the retirement selection thread?
That would greatly reduce the candidates even more.
Just a thought but I thank all for getting this this far - this is awesome.
Cheers

When I say reduce the candidates that is not a correct statement - sorry it was late - what I meant to state was that buy ranking the candidates it would allow one to pick higher ranked candidates for further review based on relative strength or Alpha.

Does anyone know of a web site that will give the total return for 20 days (1 month return) for a select "symlist"
of stocks (or even one at a time) instead of using yahoo and a start and end date and then manually getting the gain
(or loss)?
Just looking for ideas since I am doing a manual backtest and it would be nice to just enter a ticker and see what it did
Vs charting or yahoo.
Thank you

Thank you

Mahkoh or Four - what do I need to add to a filter to show the total return for the past 6 months?
Thank you in advance
Cheers
