General Discussion · Analyze Stock bug?
msg #209

Thanks for looking into that tomb. I am amazed to see so many bullish and bearish matches for NAB. This is the first security I have seen in the ASX that has any matches there. Most of the securities I look at are a lower cost (the 20c - $10 range), would this have any bearing on the analysis? Maybe I am just looking at really boring securities :)

Thanks again

Since I have being a member at stockfetcher I have wondered what the bullish and bearish analysis really is? I never get anything listed in either the bullish or bearish analysis summary. Can you please enlighten me what sort of things are covered in the analysis? I find it hard to believe that all the stocks I look at on the ASX have no bullish or bearish indicators :)

Thanks in advance for any insights provided.

This is what you are looking for I think:

Show stocks where Close dropped more than 49 percent over the last 5 days

Hope this helps somewhat.

Thanks for you reply tomb. Yeah i tried switching the order of the params around in hopes of showing a EMA(20) crossover on the EMA(60) as a positive instead of a negative and as you have said, it gives the same results.

For me personally it makes it easy to parse when I can equate the crossover to an increasing trend with an upward movement as opposed to a downward movement which is at is currently. It seems to work like that in the link I pasted in my previous post. Can we make our PPO behave similar?

Hello all,

I am experimenting with the Price Percentage Oscillator (PPO). I'll use a small example to illustrate my understanding of it. Say I have requested PPO(20,60) it is my understanding that the 20 represents the EMA(20) and the 60 represents the EMA(60). When the EMA(20) is above the EMA(60) it should show a positive signal, and when the EMA(20) is below the EMA(60) it should show a negative signal. Are my assertions correct? It seems to me that the opposite is in effect. I gleaned this info from the following URI

Any help in this subject would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

Hi all,

I know there used to be a topic in the forums that showed a couple of examples of filters that can be used to find gaps. I can't find these anymore and wonder if someone could enlighten me on some basic filters I could use as a basis?

I appreciate any help provided.

Go to 'My Filters' at the top, then edit the filter you want to rename, then click rename, change it then save.

Hope this helps.

Any word on the investigation in providing weekly data? This would be most beneficial to me because I like to first off search for stocks with a trending weekly chart before digging down into the daily data.

Thanks in advance for your reply.
