EWZuber,

Your filter as posted;

Find stocks trading between $0.50 and $15
and weekly Fast Stochastic(5,3) Fast %K crossed above Fast Stochastic(5,3) Slow %D within the last 3 week
and Slow stochastics(5,3)%K less than 15
and MA(15) is below closing price
and average volume is more than 100,000 shares
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I THINK you meant to say;

and weekly Fast Stochastic(5,3) Fast %K crossed above WEEKLY Fast Stochastic(5,3) Slow %D within the last 3 week

Does this give you what you are looking for???

This is really getting C - R - A - Z - Y !

When I cut and paste the URL posted by traderpro I get one of karenma's filters.

I have run that filter using "date offset" going back 30 days. I sort the results by the BLUE lines so that all the blue lines appear at the top of the results list. I then eyeball the charts and select the BLUE line stocks where RSI(2) is below 1 and DMA(28,14) is starting to turn up. So far the % of winners is 99.9%.

I'd post the filter but am unable to do so because it belongs to karenma.

I'm not familiar with the "backtest" feature so maybe if someone else could get the filter from karenma and backtest it ....... then, report back to us with the results so that we may all benefit.

This could be the HOLY GRAIL (or mary4money).

If you have any questions you may email me at ohno@spurious.duh and identify yourself as credulous and I'll get back to you in my own good time.

Remember, it's not what you trade but how you INVEST !

semovente,

You probably don't remember 'nikoschopen' who was a SF member some time ago. I think he was the first to bring Bollinger/Keltner bands to the forums.

Plug the following -- nikoschopen bollinger keltner -- into the search function here on SF and you should find what you want.

I hope this triggers more input on the use of Bollinger/Keltner band squeezes.

I feel that the time spent here recently by a few members exploring Acceleration Bands would be better off looking at this approach since it seems to get you into the trade much earlier. Just MHO

HAS ANYONE HERE REALLY LOOKED AT THIS ? ? ? ? ? ?

SINCE THIS IS A WEEKLY FILTER, USE FRIDAY DATES FOR OFFSET

How simple a filter can you get ?

Forget back testing, just use DATE OFFSET

If you don't like the results what changes would you make ?

Fetcher[

OFFSET 12/04/2009

show stock where WEEKLY Upper Bollinger Band(20,2) is below
WEEKLY Upper Keltner Band(20,1.5)

and WEEKLY Lower Bollinger Band(20,2) is above
WEEKLY Lower Keltner Band(20,1.5)

and show stocks closed between 1.10 and 5.00
and average volume(90) is > 1000000
