I am having trouble phrasing the filter so that I get 2 days declining before the day that I have particular specifications for, without also forcing the day I am focusing on to have closed down too. When I use "Show stocks where close has been decreasing over the last 2 days..." the results include the most recent day being also a day that closes down. I want to allow for the most recent day to have closed either up or down, but the prior 2 days decreasing. Have a solution? --BJ

I want to be able to more easily and effectively check my filters in past defined periods of time, such as bear market periods. I'd like to be able to simply input a "from date A to date B" command in conjunction with or instead of the date offset. Have some magic up your sleeves for us? --BJ

With the fantastic data analysis team SF has, certainly it can improve something so crucial as back-testing. I for one would consider it a major improvement. Perhaps run a forum thread to ask what is most desired in a back test. I want to be able to check my filters in bear market periods. I'd like to be able to simply input a "from date A to date B" command. Have some magic up your sleeves for us? --BJ

By the way, Muddy, I want you to know that I just joined SF because of the thread that resulted from your formula offer. Very good of you to do put it out there. This type of collaboration is what the internet was designed for. I, like others, will contribute my expertise and experience, and I suspect this group will benefit in ways we can't now even anticipate. Thanks again. Oh yes, since I'm needing to get familiar with SF, the BB search, as well as the new Yahoo group, can someone answer a quick question for me: where do I find the membership profile to make the "Special Notices" modification? So far I can't find it anywhere. And what about accessing and participating in the Yahoo group. What do I and others need to know to get on board? -BJ
