Thank you for the examples. Perhaps I should rethink my trailing stop.

Kevin,

Thanks for the valuable info on CRGN. I'll be entering a trailing stop for that one.

On another note, I've diverted from your method by adding a stop-loss of -10%, which came in very helpful with ICON today; my order was filled at about -13%.

Thank you for the time, detail, and care you are giving to this thread, especially by offering as current information as possible.

Bill

Kevin,

Thank you very much for all the work you have done to promote a dialogue regarding your trading strategy. I look forward to implementing your techniques and keeping a close eye on the posts in this thread.

I have added some display lines to your filter so that I could have a clearer picture of what is taking place on the charts. I thought I would share them for the sake of those who are not very familiar with the display possibilities on StockFetcher.

Do not draw Bollinger (20,2)
Do not draw MA(20)
Draw MA(16)

chart-time 90-days

add column sector
add column industry

The first two lines eliminate the default BB (20,2), leaving only your BB (16,2.5). The third line adds a midline to the BB (16,2.5). I altered the default chart-time so that I can manually backtest three months and see what the candles are doing. Though the sector and industry categories are not always consistent with the IBD categories, I do like to have a quick reference to the industry of a stock.

Thanks again,

Bill

Any thoughts as to which chart to use when using WAIT FOR GREEN with FAZ? 15 minute? 30 minute? 60 minute?

This is an excellent article. It offers clarity of perspective and helps fortify one's determination. I could certainly see myself (my errors, in particular) in the author's examples.

Thank you, TRO.

Thank you, 13th and TRO, for your input. I find your posts extremely helpful.

I have two questions for 13th floor:

1) Regarding your comment, "draw a line and trade over/under(long/short)", does it matter where you draw the line, such as the opening price?

2) Do you still find that using 1/2 of the stock's ADR(30) as a mental stop works well?

Thanks again,

Bill
