Filter Exchange · Filter to screen for exact ranges of OPTION strke prices

I have been wriing against a position to adjust if it goes in the wrong direction. This is best done when the original entry is near a strike price which comes in increments of 5. Is there a way to add a filter to the great ones here that will select stocks that are in a particular range. The simple answer I've been using is for example: close is between 30 and 31 etc.. But it would be great to filter for a group such as: close between 30 and 31 and/or 35 and 36 and/or 40 and 41 etc.. I looked for an OR statement in SF but could not find it. I think this would be be very helpful to option traders who adjust positions when things go bad, as they often do.

Thanks

Is there a way to have SF find this candle at the top or bottom of a swing. For instance a hammer is most meaningful at the bottom of the trend. So the hammer is "hammering the floor" for support and the next candle has the high probability for the start of an upswing. I'm not sure but believe the gravestone or the shooting star is most meaningful at the top of the trend and could be the start of the reversal to a downtrend. Is there a way for SF to find the candle pattern and whether it is in the top or bottom of a trend. And/Or perhaps searching for a hammer at the S1 of a Person Pivot and a shooting star at the R1 of a Person Pivot.

Thanks,

I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand this filter. It gave over 1000 resulting stocks. I know I'm probably way behind work that was done before but could you explain briefly how to actual use the report that this filter generates and why it works so well. Hope I'm not being a nuisance .. I really am impressed by the quality of all the work done in this forum.

I'm not sure I understand .... doesn't SF have a "near real time feature" For instance if I was going to look for stocks where RSI crossed above 50 say at 12 pm. wouldn't SF give me the stocks that crossed say 8 or 20 mins ago. Am I reading this wrong. I haven't used this feature yet but would be interested if anyone is using SF this way.

This was great because you can do a conditional command .1 or I prefer .2 above the last days high and if the stock does not go up you are never put into the stock. Unfortunately I did not get any results for the second filter.

Is there a more general one that could be built where you have a rising say 30 day moving average with the stock pulling back to that average from above. You could then do the same conditional command. I have tried this before but I was wondering how some of the experts here would code it. You could of course do the same thing on the short side where you have a downtrending MA(30) and the stock is pulling back up and the conditional would be .2 below the last candle.

Filter Exchange · Double Top and Stochastics Lower High Indicates Short

Is there a way to have SF search for a lower high on the curves of the stochastics. When you have a double top and the second stochastic top of the 2nd high is lower then the first stochastic curve's high, the stock will usually fall. The idea would be to take a put or short position at the peak of the 2nd high. I have looked at the double tops that SF provides but they seem to bring up stocks that are well on their way down not at peak of the 2nd high.

Thanks,

Filter Exchange · ma's sloping up or down at a 45 degree angle?

This is pretty cool for both finding upward slopes and downward slopes. I understand that one of the original ideas of this search was to be able to play against the bounces off the trend. But, in the spirit of "profiting at the turn" is there a way to have SF find stocks that have the Moving Average going sideways for say the last week or two and then find stocks whose Moving average begins to slope up or down. It looks like we are consolidating here in this bear market and it would be great to find stocks whose Moving average is now turning one way or the other and are just starting a new 45 degree angle.

Thanks

Filter Exchange · Add New HI and New Low to Run Forest Run and TRO Slow Cooker

I've been trading the stocks from the Run Forest Run and TRO Slow Cooker on 30 min charts with some success. Since these filters find statistical high percentage movement it's been great. I've noticed that within a 10 day period when the 30 min hits a new hi that it's a great time to buy puts till the new low within the chart. And vice a versa with calls. My charting software on TOS gives me these new highs and new lows over the 10 day period. Over a few days quite a few pts can be generated. Is there a way to add code to these two searches to look for new lows and new highs... I know that SF still can't do intraday but perhaps this would work with daily as well. Thanks in advance.

Wow... these hit the Person Pivot right on. Can you create code for Person S1 and R1 as well. Thanks in advance.
