General Discussion · How do I compute "Performance" and display it?

Some times I will have a chart, utilizing "Offset", that will give me a column next to each stock labeled "performance." I really don't understand what it means. For example, "
Fetcher[
open minus low is more than 100 above close minus open and close is above open
add column open minus low add column close minus open
]

which I copied from a forum.

I would like to compute for each (repeat each)stock the "performance" (profit or loss) from the date of the offset to the present. Is there some way of doing this?

Thanks for any help.

Like many, I'm also looking for the "Holy Grail." I look forward to your comments.

By "this site" do you mean StockFetcher?"
When you say, "they capitalize," who are you referring to?

Same question when you say "these guys."

Filter Exchange · Testing Using Offset

Sometimes when I test using offset my chart shows a shaded area back the number of days of the offset and sometimes it doesn't. This shading is very helpful in seeing exactly what has happened the day after the selected day and subsequent days. I would like to cause this shading every time but I don't know how to do it. Anyone have a suggestion please?

The "debug filter" indicates that

"and channeltopchange < 0.005
and channelbottomchange < 0.005"

is not recognized. I seem to get the same results with or without it included.

Juha ... I know these are other systems, but, do you have personal experience that indicates they are better than Stockfetcher?

SF backtester has problems, especially when we want to see results of daytrading ... buying and selling in the same day. Anyone know a better one?
