yes, you will get more columns.

You can sometimes change the default to an even higher resolution as long as it is not too small for you.

Does anyone know of a website where I can screen using these filters:

Option Open Interest
Option Volume
Stock Volume

and if possible... Earnings announcement date.

Yes a 17" screen can provide more columns. The key is the screen resolution. You can change the resolution to suite your needs. The higher the resolution, the smaller the font and the more columns you can get.

Have a computer salesman demostrate the resolution when you look them over.

In fact it might even be possible to increase the resolution on your old laptop to get more columns. Look to change it in the Control Panel. It's a simple thing to do.

Great work Kevin...

RE: "So in a single massive optimization"

You have a very smooth equity line over a long period of time which is always a great sign.

Just want to throw this out there:

Optimization can be a trap since your are "curve fitting". It looks great on paper, but next month, the market's "curve" could be different and your system could fail.

Have you tried doing walk forward testing? Or testing different periods over the past as opposed to one large period?

I do appreciate your postings and like to follow what you do!!

What is the minimum ADR you are using in your filter?

I am currently creating a RFR Travel Guide Scan in ThinkorSwim so I will have real time.

My filter looks for ADR > 10% and will return about 20 stocks. However, it will not return any EFT's.

Thanks for your reply.

After trading about 3 emails with Stockfetcher support, it started working.

I am not sure what happened, perhaps SF support tweaked something in the background...just after the 3rd email, the stocks started showing up. On the other hand, it could have been something I had done.

This is a great forum....thanks for following up!

BTW, I can't get ITMTF to show up either. However it appears to be a Canadian stock.

I am currently programming RFR "Travel Guide" in a ThinkorSwim real time scan. The advantage of this other than real time is that TOS probably has some stocks that SF does not carry.

I made a scan to find stocks with wide day ranges in my ThinkorSwim platform.

Suprisingly, it came up with many great wide day rangers Symbols that are not in the SF database.
I used a blank filter with "symlist ( BORK )" to test for this and other symbols:

(and many others)

None of these were found. All have decent volume over of 200,000 and are currently trading according to TOS.
All could be good canidates for RFR.

I have emailed SF support to find out why these SYMBOLS are missing. I will follow up when I get a reply.

RE: "(TRO) I use 30 minute candles... I WAIT FOR GREEN"
RE: "(13th Floor) (red to green means yesterday was a red bar and when it trades above yesterday's close is the point it )turns green, which indicates the change in direction from down to up"

On my ThinkorSwim platform, I have a choice of two different type of candles:

Depending on which one I pick, the same candle could be either RED or GREEN.
"CANDLE TREND" seems to keep a candle red if the close is below yesterday's close. Green if close above yesterday's close.
"CANDLE" will make a candle red if the close is lower than the today's open. Green if today's close is above today's open.

I don't want to assume but it sounds like you are using "CANDLE TREND" style candles. Am I correct?

Thank you !
