By the way, the point of margin is to allow you to make double what you normally could have made. Instead of having to double a stock you can just make 50% and double your money because of margin.

Do the box theory and buy higher priced stocks. Leverage your money to make money. Start with 10k and use margin. 8 trades will make you a million dollars if you make 50% each time. Of course your not going to get lucky every trade but the key is to limit your losses. I use Darvis box theory to do this. I usually can limit my losses to about 10% or so. After 12 trades I should be a millionaire if I stay disciplined.

Principle Borrowed Profit
$10,000 $10,000 $10,000
$20,000 $20,000 $20,000
$40,000 $40,000 $40,000
$80,000 $80,000 $80,000
$160,000 $160,000 $160,000
$320,000 $320,000 $320,000
$640,000 $640,000 $640,000
$1,280,000 $1,280,000 $1,280,000

That is the power of margin and leveraging your money. Notice after 8 trades your a millionaire making 50% profit on each trade. Using the box theory by Darvis this is possible. I am doing it now.

By the way I do not like the price channels because that doesn't spell out a box. There isn't a way to setup a box on stockfetcher.com. It would take some advanced programming which I could do if I had access to all the stocks like stockfetcher.com has. I can't though so you just have to scan through all the stocks to find box stocks.

Its best to just shoot for 25 week highs and then scan through all those finding box stocks. There are plenty to choose from.

For any of you that do not know Nicolas Darvas has to be one of the greatest investors of all times. I encourage anyone who hasn't read How I Made $2,000,000 In The Stock Market to get that book. I have decided to go back to his principles because everytime I do I make money. Greed sometimes takes over and I try to make a quick buck only to find myself losing a quick buck. I will be starting a site soon that covers this theory and my picks every week with diagrams. With his system and the power of leverageing your money you can become a millionaire in no time just like he did. He made his money in 18 months starting with about 30k I beleive. I think it was more like 10k. Anyways, any of you not using margin I would use margin to leverage more buying power, apply the box theory, and you will get there. Be patient and do not let greed drive your decisions.

You guys are funny. I was stupid and lost about 25% of my gains this year so far so I am reduced down to 30% gain in my portfolio this year. I just started trading correctly about 2 months ago and made 55% in 1 month in my porfolio. My greed kicked in and I lost my butt. Luckily I still have a profit. Now it's time to thank the Lord for what I have and become satisfied and make money again. Use your heads and model after the big winners. Look at what they did before there big rise and your fortune will be found.

I currently am in this stock. Notice how the MACD is rising now and it shows signs of coming out of the hole. This is a model stock for me. I may be wrong but usually I am right more than wrong when the stock looks like this. Just make sure you keep that mental stop loss available and do not be afraid to take a loss if the stock does not act right.

It would have been impossible to get that stock on Thursday because the filter wouldn't have shown the stock till after Thursday close. You would have had to buy it on Friday. It is still a good buy thought. The MACD is rising now and it is showing signs of bottoming out. The reason I say that is because of the sharp drop it did which is usually an indicator of a correction to come. The only problem I see with this stock is it may take a while for it to begin its true rise. Buy the stock and put a stop loss at $1.20
