JP, could I get your take on AAPL? I bought in at $418 and as you've seen, it's been walloped today. Should I get more or punt this thing?

While the board is quiet, I thought I'd chime in with a book recommendation. I just read John Carter's "Mastering the Trade, Second Edition" and I am blown away. The book covers a lot of ground. Stocks, options, futures and forex. And there are a lot of profitable setups for day traders and swing traders. I've read over 50 books about trading and investing, this one is BY FAR the best. It's a rare instance when a successful trader can also be a great author. If you get a chance, check it out. And for TOS users, some of the studies John Carter uses are bundled with the TOS desktop software.

JP, that's one eye opening and discouraging interview. I think that the market is only going to become a more difficult terrain for individuals to make money in. Another side effect of this market manipulation is the fact that individuals are not only losing money in the market, but spending more cash on books, advise and subscriptions to try to improve their odds. Investment research has got to be a billion dollar industry in itself. Thanks for posting the link, I think I'll sit in a cash position until I figure some things out. -Nick

John, I know you find support very commonly at EMA(100) on the 10 minute charts, is there a defualt resistance you're shooting for to take profits or does it vary chart to chart? Also, are there any existing filters by TRO, Chet or the like that you still use for candidates? What you share every day is great and I appreciate it, but I just feel like a freeloader if I'm just stealing ideas and not learning anything. Thanks for all you do!

John, one of my filters kicked out HOV for a swing trade. Been bouncing off EMA(22) support, StochRSI(8,13) fast/slow showing probable cross under .25. It's a little cheap but it's liquid, what do you think?
