Filter Exchange · Can't get filter to produce the right results

Hi, I am using this filter but I don't think the wording is right because I am not getting all the results as I believe more stocks should fall within this criteria. Can someone take a look and see what language might be wrong here:

"Price was more than 25 percent below weekly MA (20) within the last year and a half and the exchange is not OTCBB and exchange is not ETF and exchange is not AMEX and average volume is above 1,000,000 and price is between 10 and 200 and the Historical Volatility(100,1) is above 20 and chart-display is weekly"

Thanks

Hi, I have the following filter that I need to change to a weekly filter. So basically I need Price greater than WEEKLY EMA(13) and price less than WEEKLY EMA(45). Is this possible or something very close to this?

Here is the current filter:

Price > EMA(13)
Price < EMA(45)

Exchange is not OTCBB
exchange is not ETF
exchange is not AMEX
/* volume is above 1,000,000 */
Average Volume is above 1,000,000
price is between 15 and 2000
Historical Volatility(100,1) is below 65

First, thank you for the quick response.

I think there might be something wrong here because when I run my filter with just this language, it returns over 117 stocks:

"Price is greater than 5% above MA (375)and exchange is not OTCBB and exchange is not ETF and exchange is not AMEX and volume is above 1,000,000 and price is between 15 and 1000 and weekly EMA (9) has been above MA (300) for more than 18 months and price has been above MA (300) for at least 18 months and optionable"

I don't think your original two lines as noted below, contemplate my wording above...

weekly ema(9) > ma(300) for last 18 months
close > ma(300) for last 18 months

Hi, I am looking for a filter that will include the below syntax:

"Price is greater than 5% above MA (375)and exchange is not OTCBB and exchange is not ETF and exchange is not AMEX and volume is above 1,000,000 and price is between 15 and 1000 and weekly EMA (9) has been above MA (300) for more than 18 months and price has been above MA (300) for at least 18 months and optionable"

But I also want to include that price has been within a 10% range for the last 8 weeks

Can someone please assist. Thanks

Hi, trying to get a filter with this criteria:

Price is more than 5% below MA (600) and exchange is not OTCBB and exchange is not ETF and exchange is not AMEX and volume is above 1,000,000 and price is between 5 and 1000 and price has been below MA (600) for more than 12 months and price was more than 15% below MA (600) within the last 5 months and optionable

If we must use weekly MA (129) in lieu of daily MA (600) that is fine.

When I run this filter, I am not returning any stocks, which does not make sense so I must be doing something wrong. For example, the stock NWL should turn up in this filter because it meets all of the above criteria but it does not.

Can someone please help. Thanks

You are looking at daily charts right? When I go to stockcharts and look up daily TSLA, it does not go below EMA (17). What am I missing here?

Also, in your charts, if the green line is EMA (17), you can clearly see by the actual charts you posted, that price is not below EMA (17), nonetheless at least 4% below it....

Thank you for this but I don't think it works. For example, TSLA has not traded more than 4% its ema(17) within the last 15 trading days and it is in the filter

Hi, I don't think this is right because for the most part, it is not filtering stocks that were more than 4% below their EMA (17) within the last 15 trading days. Can someone take a look at help?

"Price was at least 4% below EMA(17) within the last 15 days and price is above EMA(17) and exchange is not OTCBB and exchange is not ETF and exchange is not AMEX and average volume is above 1,000,000 and price is between 15 and 1000 and optionable and the Historical Volatility(100,1) is above 20 and optionable and RSI (14) is below 69"
