I am looking for a short term momentum indicator (4 or 5 days). Anyone have a favorite?

Some use RSI(2) when crossing the 30.00 line from below and selling when RSI when it drops back below 70.00 from above.

Some use RSI(2) for extreme highs to short say like RSI(2) is at 99.64.

Draw RSI(2) line at 30.00
Draw RSI(2) line at 70.00

You might search RSI(2) on SF as posters of the past have used it with some good success.

Mac, Thanx, will check that out. I will post a filter "H50 + momentum".

I 100% agree with Mac. Besides linear regression, I'd say the RSI(2) is the most powerful short term indicator. Undeniably it is one of the most effective, especially for short selling.

My favorite is the ROC(5,1) - look for movements of 50-100% up and take a short position for the retracement. GLTY
