I backtested for similar results. But check also open trades not calculated!!!
However - using date offset I receive way better results.
(Even though there are some red entry points)
We have to be careful with Backtest-ROI's.
I have written TA filters with ROI's above 600% which do effectively
go sideways to barely show gains over 2 years.
Look for "equity curve" in the forum. I have too asked for this
feature here a couple times.
"My outperformer picks" trend with the market as any other stock.
(says my equity curve excel sheet)
So switching to channelling stocks or trading pure TA when the market
is down should be interesting.

But that wouldnt match the buy and hold approach in the first place.
