I’m trying to build a filter replicating Scott Redlers red dog reversal. It’s pretty basic, but this is not my strength. Any help would be appreciated. Here is a link describing it:

Here is the Red Dog Reversal by parameter stock is a short-term pull back often for 2+ days and trades below a prior day low. Then a couple more small parameters. Any ideas for a filter for this ?

Goodness, that video does a very poor job of explaining the setup for this strategy. I used this article on yahoo instead.

Note that SF is not very effective for executing intra-day trades like this because of the 20-minute delay. By the time your buy signal triggers, you've missed most of the move up. This strategy would work better on a real-time screener.

/* Red Dog Reversal strategy. Set StopLimit Buy at "Enter" price. Once entered set StopLimit Sell at "STOP" */
close > wma(150)
average volume(30) > 500000
close < close 1 day ago for last 3 days
open > low 1 day ago
low < low 1 day ago
open < close 1 day ago

set{EnterPrice,low 1 day ago}
add column EnterPrice {Enter price}

set{STOP,low}
draw price line at STOP
add column STOP
